2016 Heritage Recognition Award (City of Red Deer & Red Deer County)
David Thompson Country – Community Tourism Award 2005 (this award was quite significant as it had been previously awarded to the City of Red Deer, the City of Ponoka – Ponoka Stampede, the Town of Sylvan Lake and many other towns and cities. The Museum was the first stand-alone site to be recognized for outstanding service to tourism in Central Alberta) .

Canadian e-tourism award for “Best User Generated Content and Best Innovative Use of Technology. The former website was launched in 2009/on the website for Canadian e-tourism awards it is listed as an award given in 2010/the award was actually presented in the spring of 2011.
