Government Grants

The Danish Canadian Museum works with a variety of government funding agencies – Provincial and National – who have programs for assisting non-profit service organizations in being financially viable. The Museum has received funding over the years from:

  • Grants for summer students have been received every year since the Museum opened, from the Government of Canada through the Young Canada Works and Canada Summer Jobs programs
  • Community Initiative Grants have been received from the Government of Alberta
  • Red Deer County has provided a number of Cultural and Recreational Grants
  • Travel Alberta has provided grants for marketing, in partnership with the Scandinavian Trail Tour
